This week I worked on preserving my postcard collection. I began collecting postcards when I was five and my family took a trip to Florida. Since then I have collected about 200 more cards and still actively add to this collection. Below is just a small selection of cards.
Clockwise from top left: a postcard I made in second grade, a promotional card that came with one of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls (there are several of these in the collection), a contemporary retro-look postcard from Four Corners and a contemporary WPA-look postcard from a trip to the American Southwest.
Because I love these cards so much, I have decided to house them in clear sleeves within a light-safe box so that I can easily flip through them and read any messages on the cards. Check in on my Facebook page on Thursday where I'll show you one of my most interesting postcards that I collected when I was only in elementary school.
